WHEREAS, the federal government, under
authority granted by the Federal Transit Act, as amended, is authorized to
provide financial assistance to states to improve public transportation; and
WHEREAS, such aid has been offered
to Idaho; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that an
agency of the State of Idaho be designated and authorized to receive and expend
such financial assistance; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIRK
KEMPTHORNE, Governor of the State of Idaho, by the authority vested in me under
the Constitution and laws of this state do hereby continue the designation of
the Idaho Transportation Department and its Director to receive and expend
monies from the federal government for public transportation assistance as
provided under the applicable federal statutes. This Executive Order repeals and
replaces Executive Order No. 96-05.

WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great
Seal of the State of Idaho at the Capitol in Boise on this twentieth day of
April in the year of our Lord two-thousand and of the Independence of the United
States of America the two hundred twenty-fourth and of the Statehood of Idaho
