(BOISE) – Here are some of the upcoming events on Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter’s schedule. This schedule is provided for newsroom planning purposes only and is subject to change. All listed times are local to the event.
 

MONDAY, JANUARY 7

  • Media briefing for Governor Otter’s State of the State and Budget Address, 11:30 a.m., 1st Floor Division of Financial Management conference room, Hall of Mirrors, Boise.
  • First Lady Lori Otter and Debbie Field, director of the state Office of Drug Policy, makes a special presentation to Pocatello youths representing 4,000 contracts signed by young people agreeing to remain Meth Free, 1 p.m., First Lady’s Office, 3rd Floor, Borah Building, 8th and Bannock streets, Boise.
  • Governor Otter delivers his annual State of the State and Budget Address, 3 p.m., Special Events Center, Boise State University.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 8

  • Governor Otter attends Caldwell Mayor Garrett Nancolas’s State of the City luncheon, 11:30 a.m., O’Connor Fieldhouse, Caldwell.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 9

  • Governor Otter meets with the manager of Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey, Blaine County commissioners, Idaho Transportation Department officials and legislators about relocating the airport, 10 a.m., Governor’s Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Borah Building, 8th and Bannock streets, Boise.
  • Governor Otter attends as a guest at the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce Luncheon, 11:45 a.m., Boise Centre on The Grove.
  • Governor Otter presides over a Cabinet meeting, including the Northwest Power and Conservation Council’s Idaho representatives, the Department of Environmental Quality, the Office of Energy Resources, the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho, the state Tax Commission, the Department of Health and Welfare, and the Commission on Aging; 2 p.m., Department of Health and Welfare offices, 10th floor, 450 W. State Street, Boise.
  • Governor Otter and First Lady Lori Otter address students and parents at Sacajawea Elementary School in Caldwell about the importance of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility at Math Night with Students and Parents of the After-School Program, 5:30 p.m., 1710 North Illinois Avenue, Caldwell.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 11

  • Governor Otter presides over a Cabinet meeting, including the Idaho State Police, Commission for Pardons and Parole, State Board of Education, Office of Drug Policy, Military Division, Division of Veterans Services, State Liquor Dispensary, and Idaho Lottery; 9 a.m., Office of Drug Policy conference room, 4th Floor, Borah Building, 8th and Bannock streets, Boise.
  • Governor Otter and First Lady Lori Otter attend the Governor’s Ball, 8:30 p.m., Grove Hotel Ballroom, Boise.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 12

  • Governor Otter provides a state update to the Idaho Republican Party Central Committee, 11:30 a.m., DoubleTree Riverside Hotel, Garden City.
