RISCH ORDERS FLAGS TO HALF-STAFF
FOR (BOISE) Governor Jim Risch today ordered flags at the State Capitol Building and other state buildings and facilities be flown at half-staff on Friday, May 5 in honor of Jacob Allcott of Caldwell on the day of his funeral services in Canyon County. Allcott died April 22 in Baghdad when his Humvee caught fire after a roadside bomb exploded nearby, according to the Army. Three other soldiers were killed in the same incident. “The tragic loss of a young soldier like Jacob is a terrible reminder of the tremendous sacrifice the men and women in uniform, and their families, endure to ensure our freedom and way of life,” Risch said. “I hope all Idahoans will join me by keeping Jacob and his family in their thoughts and prayers.” ###
