GOVERNOR RISCH ANNOUNCES 41 APPOINTMENTS TO
12 STATE BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS

BOISE - Governor Jim Risch announced the appointment of the following 41 Idahoans to 12 state boards and commissions. (*) indicates reappointment.

The Idaho Council on Suicide Prevention is a new council, created by the Governor’s Executive Order 2006-35 and supported by the Idaho Legislature’s passage of HCR 31. The purpose of the council is to implement the Idaho Suicide Prevention Plan, evaluate progress made and recommend any new priorities for the plan.  Suicide is the second leading cause of death among Idahoan’s age 15 to 34.  The council will be co-chaired by Rep. Kathie Garrett, sponsor of HCR 31 and Peter Wolheim of Boise.
