STOKER APPOINTED TO FIFTH DISTRICT BENCH
GOVERNOR OTTER NAMES JUDGE TO REPLACE HOHNHORST IN TWIN FALLS COURT

(BOISE) – Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter today announced the appointment of Twin Falls County Magistrate Randy Stoker to replace 5th District Judge John Hohnhorst, who died on February 3rd while awaiting a lung transplant.

Stoker, of Filer, was among seven applicants for the district judgeship and one of two nominated by the Idaho Judicial Council. The Burley native is a University of Idaho graduate and worked in private law practice, including work as a public defender, until becoming a magistrate in 2003.

Otter chose Stoker over Twin Falls attorney Richard Greenwood.
