GOVERNOR’S NEXT TRANSPORTATION TASK FORCE MEETING SET FOR TUESDAY, AUGUST 31ST
SUBCOMMITTEE ON COST ALLOCATION TO MEET ON AUGUST 24TH
(BOISE) – Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter’s Task Force on Modernizing Transportation Funding will continue to review options for securing an adequate and sustainable revenue stream to maintain Idaho’s roads and bridges, and will hear comments and recommendations from members about a study on the equity of various fees for cars and trucks on Tuesday, August 31st.
The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Capitol Building’s Garden Level East Wing, Room 40. The task force’s subcommittee on public transportation will meet from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the House Majority Caucus Room, E403, and will discuss potential recommendations to address public transportation needs.
The task force’s subcommittee on cost allocation will meet Tuesday, August 24th, to review and discuss a preliminary study on the equity of various fees for cars and trucks. The meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Capitol Building’s Garden Level East Wing, Room 40.
The Governor’s Task Force, led by Lieutenant Governor Brad Little, is examining traditional and non-traditional ways Idaho can fund its transportation system needs now and in the future.
