GOVERNOR’S TRANSPORTATION FUNDING TASK FORCE SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING SCHEDULED MARCH 16
(BOISE) – Members of the Governor’s Transportation Funding Task Force Subcommittee on Public Transportation will hold their first meeting on Tuesday, March 16. The meeting will be held at the Governor’s Office Policy Conference Room, West 201, from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
The subcommittee is charged with planning for Idaho’s long-term public transportation needs and funding options for the next five, 10 and 20 years. Its work will be focused on expanding its guiding principles and determining a strategy to achieve its mission within a narrow time frame.
David Bennion, a retired Idaho manager and vice president of engineering firm CH2M Hill, is chairman of the subcommittee. Bennion has nearly 40 years of infrastructure project development knowledge and led a gubernatorial and regional task force. He has held leadership positions with the Public Works Licensing Board, Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, Boise Economic Development Council and various civic organizations.
The other subcommittee members include State Senators Shawn Keough and Chuck Winder, State Representatives Marv Hagedorn, Leon Smith and Bill Killen, and Valley County Commissioner Gordon Cruickshank.
