WHEREAS, since its founding in
1867, the Grange has been an advocate for improvement in communities across
America; and
WHEREAS, such advocacy has (1)
fought for better rural public education institutions, (2) extended public
utilities and telecommunication technologies to rural areas, and (3) brought
healthcare access and services; and
WHEREAS, in addition to its role
in economic and political advocacy, the Grange has been a supporter for the
personal growth of individuals by providing social, cultural, and educational
opportunities for its members and their neighbors; and
WHEREAS, the mission of the Grange
today is to provide forums in communities across the nation where all citizens
can unite and commit to the development of families through dynamic programs and
activities that educate, engage, and enrich lives;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIRK
KEMPTHORNE, Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim April 2006, to be
G R A N G E M O N T H
in Idaho.

WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great
Seal of the State of Idaho at the Capitol in Boise on this eighteenth day of
January in the year of our Lord two-thousand and six and of the Independence of
the United States of America the two hundred thirtieth and of the Statehood of
