        WHEREAS, the Summerwind Skippers competitive jump rope sports team representing Team USA recently continued their tradition of excellence and achieved a World Championship title; and

        WHEREAS, Jeanette Hronek, Kelsy Moe, Lee Reisig, Shane Winsor, and Calli Wold competed in the Senior Open Division, the highest level of competition equal to the Olympics of Jump Rope, earning Gold medals in Double Dutch Overall, Single Rope Overall, and the Overall World Championship; and

        WHEREAS, in the Junior Division Samantha Lange, Chris Miller, Krysia Rousseau, Katrina Sternberg, and Allison Waters won Silver medals for Double Dutch and Overall; and

        WHEREAS, Justin Meier, Samantha Michell, Jessica Outhet, Alysa Schneider, and Erica Smith won the Bronze medal Overall in the Junior Division; and

        WHEREAS, as a State, we are proud of these young individuals and their accomplishments at both national and international levels of competition; and

        WHEREAS, the fine young men and women of the Summerwind Skippers are wonderful examples to others, and through their participation in competitive jump rope, have successfully served as ambassadors for Idaho to the rest of the world;

        NOW, THEREFORE, I, JAMES E. RISCH Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim December 18 through 23, 2006, as

SUMMERWIND SKIPPER RECOGNITION WEEK

in Idaho.
