WHEREAS, marriage is an honored
and important component of healthy families in our communities, state and our
nation; and
WHEREAS, during February married
couples and others traditionally celebrate the value and importance of loving
personal relationships in their lives; and
WHEREAS, marriage is a sacred
institution and is the foundation for strong and healthy families in Idaho; and
WHEREAS, marriage represents the
strong commitment a husband and wife make to love each other, to support each
other and to build a family together; and
WHEREAS, marriage is worthy of the
support and encouragement of all members of society for its role in providing
positive nurture and supportive role models for children;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIRK
KEMPTHORNE, Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim February 8
through 15, 2006, to be
C E L E B R A T I O N OF M A R R I
A G E W E E K
in Idaho.

WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great
Seal of the State of Idaho at the Capitol in Boise on this first day of February
