WHEREAS, Big Brothers Big Sisters
is a youth mentoring organization throughout the nation that focuses on the
development of youth; and
WHEREAS, Big Brothers Big Sisters
was founded in 1904 and is ending the celebration of its 102nd anniversary this
year; and
WHEREAS, Idaho’s youth who are
impacted by this organization experience “Magical Moments” with their volunteer
Big Brothers Big Sisters; and
WHEREAS, Big Brothers Big Sisters
have worked together with program mentors raising money, donating time and most
importantly offering their time to create these “Magical Moments” for numerous
individuals; and
WHEREAS, Idaho is actively
contributing to the National goal of serving 1 million kids by 2010, by serving
2,440 Idaho children; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and
appropriate that we recognize the positive impact mentoring has on Idaho’s
youth, and the fun of “Magical Moments” experienced by adults and children
alike;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIRK
KEMPTHORNE, Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim January 31, 2006
to be

in Idaho.

WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great
