WHEREAS, the future of Idaho rests
in the hands of the next generation of youth and children; and
WHEREAS, Idaho’s “Brightest Stars”
are unsung heroes who work to ensure the success of future generations without
regard for recognition or compensation; and
WHEREAS, Idaho’s “Brightest Stars”
remind us all that the investments we make in the lives of youth and children
will reap a lifetime of rewards for our families, communities and the state; and
WHEREAS, Idaho’s “Brightest Stars”
promote the concept that healthy children are integral to healthy communities
and a healthy state; and
WHEREAS, Idaho’s “Brightest Stars”
message of volunteerism and service to others that these corporations, small
businesses, community organizations, and individuals exemplify is further
replicated in every corner of our state; and
WHEREAS, the leadership and
character of Idaho’s “2006 Brightest Stars” are recognized and applauded by all
Idaho citizens; and
WHEREAS, the selfless actions of
Idaho’s “Brightest Stars” truly make a positive difference in the lives of
families and children;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIRK
KEMPTHORNE, Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim January 26, 2006,
to be
B R I G H T E S T S T A R S D A Y
in Idaho, we must affirm and support the on-going commitment of these
“Brightest Stars” to continue to serve in their communities.

WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great
Seal of the State of Idaho at the Capitol in Boise on this twenty -fourth day of
January in the year of our Lord two-thousand and six and of the Independence of
