        WHEREAS, many civic bodies, service organizations and government departments of our state recognize the great humanitarian service rendered to Idaho hospitals by Junior Auxiliary Volunteers; and

        WHEREAS, Idaho hospitals have set aside the week of June 14 through 18, 2006 to recognize and express gratitude for the helping hand Junior Volunteers extend to medical professionals and health care administrative personnel; and

        WHEREAS, through its service, this organization of dedicated teenage volunteers enriches the lives of Idaho citizens;

        NOW, THEREFORE, I, JAMES E. RISCH, Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim the week of June 14 through 18, 2006 to be:

JUNIOR VOLUNTEER WEEK

in Idaho, and I urge Idahoans to give grateful recognition, show consideration, and express appreciation to our teenage volunteers for the contributions they make to their communities in ministering to the sick through junior volunteer programs and to commend these young citizens and their sponsors for a job well done.
