WHEREAS, one of the most sacred and
potent forces in the world is the Mother influence; and
WHEREAS, in the heart of each of us is
enshrined those memories of the tender love and the devoted sacrifice of our
Mother; and
WHEREAS, from the beginning to the end of
life, the moral fiber of each of us is nourished and strengthened by respect and
love for Mothers; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the citizens of
Idaho to pay homage to that revered Mother of each of us and to recognize and
show appreciation to the Mother of the Year for Idaho

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIRK KEMPTHORNE, Governor
of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim March 6 through 12, 2006, to be
IDAHO MOTHERS’ WEEK
in Idaho, and I encourage all to give heed to the teachings of Mother as she
trains, teaches, and leads us in ways that will help us to become happy,
well-adjusted citizens who will contribute much to our communities and state. I
am confident there will be many acts of special recognition and tribute paid by
all to their Mothers during this time and throughout the coming year as they
show their gratitude and thanks for the great sacrifices made and the
unconditional love given by the Mothers of Idaho.

Seal of the State of Idaho at the Capitol in Boise on this eighth day of March
