        WHEREAS, the men and women who have served in the armed forces of the United States of America have shown the highest form of citizenship and made major contributions through the services they have performed in the defense of our great nation and the freedoms we hold so dear; and

        WHEREAS, the contributions and sacrifices of military personnel from the 32nd Infantry Regiment of WWII were vital to maintaining America’s freedoms and way of life; and

        WHEREAS, it is crucial to raise awareness of the sacrifice that these brave men have made in the past in order to support the Constitution and to preserve the liberties that enrich this great nation today; and

        WHEREAS, the citizens of Idaho recognize the sacrifice that these officers present today, Lieutenant Ramon A. Nelson, Captain Cliff C. Kimsey, Jr., Captain Dean Galles, Lieutenant Arthur Male, Colonel Ernie Bearrs, and especially those officers killed in action and those that passed on since WWII made for their country during WWII and throughout their lives to safeguard the freedoms, humanitarianism, and peacekeeping efforts of this great country and

        NOW, THEREFORE, I, JAMES E. RISCH, Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim the day of September 23rd, 2006, to be
