WHEREAS it is important that all Idahoans have access to our state government resources and elected officials; and WHEREAS the “Capital for a Day” program is designed to provide an opportunity for the Governor and other state officials to meet Idahoans who live outside of the capital city and gain a firsthand understanding of the issues that are important to them; and WHEREAS while the State Capitol, seat of Idaho state government, remains in Boise, Governor Otter plans to visit and conduct business in “every corner” of the State during his administration; and WHEREAS the City of Parma, Idaho, proudly honors its citizens displaying particular civic virtue each year through the Bruce Mitchell Community Service Awards; and WHEREAS the people of Canyon County and southwestern Idaho have a special interest in personally voicing their hopes and concerns to a native son; NOW, THEREFORE, I, C.L. “BUTCH”
