WHEREAS, the Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children (Idaho AEYC) and other statewide organizations, in conjunction with the National Association for the Education of Young Children, are celebrating the Week of the Young Child, April 22-28, 2007; and

        WHEREAS, these organizations are working to improve early learning opportunities, which are crucial to the growth and development of young children and to building better futures for everyone in Idaho; and

        WHEREAS, all young children and their families in Idaho across the country deserve access to high-quality early education and care; and

        WHEREAS, in recognizing and supporting the people, programs and policies that are committed to high-quality early childhood education as the right choice for children;

        NOW, THEREFORE, I, C.L. “BUTCH” OTTER, Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim April 22-28, 2007

WEEK OF THE YOUNG CHILD

in Idaho.
