WHEREAS, Barbara Morgan has been part of the NASA Educator In Space program
since its inception in 1985; and
WHEREAS, she is a full-time astronaut
and flew on the space shuttle Endeavor's flight to the International Space
Station in August of 2007; and
WHEREAS, Barbara Morgan taught 2nd,
3rd and 4th grades at McCall-Donnelly Elementary School for many years; and
WHEREAS, she is committed to
educating America’s youth, even while in space; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, C.L. “BUTCH”
OTTER, Governor of the State of Idaho, do
hereby proclaim December 10, 2007 to be
BARBARA MORGAN DAY
IN
WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great
Seal of the State of Idaho in Boise on this 6th day of December in the year of
our Lord two-thousand and seven and of the Independence of the United States of
America the two hundred thirty-second and of the Statehood of Idaho the one
hundred eighteenth.
