WHEREAS, Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) are essential to Idaho’s Long Term Care system providing high-quality, compassionate direct-care giving to our elderly; and

        WHEREAS, CNA's are specialists who administer 70 % of the direct-care giving needs to our elderly on a daily basis; and

        WHEREAS, CNA's are the providers of dignity in the delivery of direct-care giving of our elderly in the Long Term Care settings of Idaho; and

        WHEREAS, Idaho CNA's practice in every setting where direct-care giving for the elderly is delivered: Traditional Nursing Facilities, Hospitals, Hospice and Home Health Settings;

        NOW, THEREFORE, I C.L. “BUTCH” OTTER, Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim June 14th through 20th, 2007,

NATIONAL CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT WEEK

in Idaho.
