WHEREAS, the state of Idaho believes that our youth are the most important commodity we have to offer society; and

        WHEREAS, the Idaho Youth Games is an opportunity for the youth in our state to improve their self esteem, talents and skills, and to encourage new friendships and relationships; and

        WHEREAS, the Youth Games 2007 is an event for all the youth of Idaho, a safe and healthy way for youth to develop their skills, a chance to compete and display their talents, in which the primary goals for participants are to have fun, develop an appreciation for other’s talents as well as their own, respect their peers’ differences, enjoy healthy competition and build self esteem; and

        WHEREAS, the State of Idaho supports, appreciates and welcomes the sponsors, participants, spectators and volunteers of the Ninth Annual Idaho Youth Games;

        THEREFORE, I, C.L. “BUTCH” OTTER, Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim June 21st, 22nd and 23rd as,

IDAHO YOUTH GAMES 2007 DAYS

in Idaho, and ask all of the citizens of Idaho to join with me in welcoming the participants and spectators and to support the sponsors and volunteers of the Ninth Annual Idaho Youth Games.
