WHEREAS, 2007 is the 122^nd Anniversary of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and
Dance – an educational organization supporting, encouraging and providing assistance to member groups and their personnel throughout the nation as they seek to initiate, develop and conduct programs in health, leisure and movement-related activities for the enrichment of human life; and

        WHEREAS, in Idaho, that member group is the Idaho Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance; and

        WHEREAS, it is fitting to celebrate and focus attention upon all citizens and programs in Idaho, as well as nationally, promoting physical education, sport and fitness in our schools and communities;

        NOW, THEREFORE, I, C.L. “BUTCH” OTTER, Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim May 1-7, 2007, to be

in Idaho, and I proclaim “Activity in America” to be the theme for this year's events. I encourage our citizens to support and participate in the Idaho Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance's 2007-2008 State Convention to be held in Boise, Idaho on October 4 and 5, 2007 with the theme, “License 2 B Active”. Further, I urge all Idahoans to promote physical education, sport and fitness in their communities.
