        WHEREAS, The Salvation Army has served the State of Idaho since 1887; and

        WHEREAS, The Salvation Army has, through the past 120 years, maintained the highest level of integrity and credibility in its ministry and service to people everywhere; and

        WHEREAS, The Salvation Army has provided food, clothing, shelter and spiritual guidance to needy families and individuals since its inception; and

        WHEREAS, The Salvation Army has been the leading social service agency in providing assistance to homeless families and individuals, pregnant teenagers and their infants, and in meeting human needs without discrimination; and

        WHEREAS, a love of God and a desire to help others is the motivation behind the men and women in The Salvation Army; and

        WHEREAS, it is fitting that we set aside a special time to acknowledge the great service performed by The Salvation Army;

        NOW, THEREFORE, I C.L. “BUTCH” OTTER, Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim May 14-20, 2007 to be
