WHEREAS, teachers throughout our nation and the Association for Childhood Education International actively work to promote the inherent rights, education and well-being of all children; and

        WHEREAS, as a crucial part of children’s educational experiences, teachers work side by side with parents and administrators every day to provide the best learning environments for their students; and

        WHEREAS, teachers use their skills to help ensure that our children have the resources necessary to become productive citizens and future leaders; and

        WHEREAS, the 2007 observance of the ACEI “Week of the Classroom Teacher” provides a unique opportunity for citizens throughout Idaho to honor our teachers for their dedication to upholding the highest standards of educational excellence and for their commitment to ensuring that our young people achieve their maximum potential;

        NOW, THEREFORE, I, C.L. “BUTCH” OTTER, Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim September 30 –October 6, 2007, to be

in Idaho.
