WHEREAS, the Eagle Idaho Rib Cook Off and Spudfest will be held in Eagle, Idaho on August 29th-September 1st, 2008; and

        WHEREAS, the Eagle Idaho Rib Cook Off and Spudfest involves teams and judges from the entire Pacific Northwest, including Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Utah and Montana, and will draw visitors from those areas; and

        WHEREAS, the four BBQ categories of the competition include ribs, chicken, pork, and brisket; and

        WHEREAS, the grand champion of the Eagle Idaho Rib Cook Off and Spudfest will be designated as an Idaho State Champion and will be eligible to enter the draw for the Jack Daniel’s Invitational and to be invited to the American Royal and Great American BBQ events;

        NOW, THEREFORE, I, C.L. "BUTCH" OTTER, Governor of the State of Idaho do hereby proclaim August 29 through September 1, 2008 as

EAGLE, IDAHO RIB COOK OFF AND SPUDFEST BBQ
CHAMPIONSHIP DAYS
