WHEREAS, the Jeffrey-Goodale Cutoff is a real and important section of an alternate Old Oregon Trail across southern Idaho; and

        WHEREAS, the members of the Idaho Chapter of the Oregon-California Trail Association wish to remember our heritage on the 26th anniversary of the National Trails Association and the Oregon-California Trail Association National Convention in Nampa, Idaho on August 5-9, 2008; and

        WHEREAS, we seek to promote and preserve our historical, cultural and educational heritage for future generations;

        NOW, THEREFORE, I, C.L. “BUTCH” OTTER, Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim July 9 through August 9, 2008, to be

in Idaho.
