WHEREAS, Brooke Garcia managed to save the life of a 3-year-old child from a burning vehicle; and

        WHEREAS, Brooke displayed courage, bravery and maturity well beyond her young 17 years of age; and

        WHEREAS, the courageous acts of this Caldwell teen speak for themselves: Brooke has hero written all over her;

        NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT I, C.L. “BUTCH” OTTER, Governor of the state of Idaho, do hereby officially proclaim May 19, 2008, as

Brooke Garcia Day

in Idaho.
