Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter administers the oath of office during the
investiture ceremony for Justice Warren Jones. Jones joins
Justices Linda Copple Trout, Roger S. Burdick, Jim Jones
and Chief Justice Daniel T. Eismann on the Idaho Supreme Court.

Idaho Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter is joined by Governor Jim Gibbons of Nevada (seated to his left)
and Governor Jon Huntsman of Utah (on the right) at the Idaho National Guard
Headquarters building. The three Governors, along with Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal,
who participated via conference call, discussed interstate cooperation to address wildfire threats.

August 27, 2007- Salmon Capital for a Day

Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter speaks at a press conference
 at Steele Memorial Hospital in Salmon, Idaho. The Governor spoke
in support of the S-CHIP program that helps to provide medical
coverage to about 21,000 Idaho children.

The Governor spoke about securing S-CHIP’s future and called it
“essential to Idaho’s continuum-of-care approach to health care needs.”
The Governor also said the focus of limited taxpayer resources
needs to be on the neediest and most vulnerable among us.

The Governor and First Lady Lori Otter, receive cowboy hats from
area children during the “Capital For a Day” event in Salmon Idaho.
