Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter inspects seed hoppers
being made by Idaho Correctional Industries. The canvas and metal
hoppers will be worn by hundreds of volunteers who are expected to gather wild grass and sage brush seed in November. The volunteer program is part of state and federal efforts to restore 670,000 acres of rangeland and wildlife habitat destroyed during the Murphy Complex fire this summer. |

Governor Otter revealed his recommendations from his Health Care Summit during his trip to Idaho Falls. The recommendations call for training an additional 5,000 new nurses in Idaho by the year 2020. |
