The Governor helps to cut the ribbon opening the Pacific Ethanol plant in Burley. The plant is a multi-million dollar investment in the local economy. When the plant is running at full capacity it will be able to produce about 10% of all the fuel consumed in the State of Idaho.

Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter, Lt. Governor Jim Risch and other state and local officials break ground for the new building at the College of Southern Idaho. It is expected to be completed by December 2009. When completed the building will include 72,400 square feet and cost around $21 million.
