TWIN FALLS ATTORNEY BEN CLUFF APPOINTED TO FIFTH DISTRICT BENCH

(BOISE) – Governor C.L. “Butch”Otter announced the appointment today of Twin Falls attorney Ben Cluff to the Fifth Judicial District judgeship left vacant by Justice Richard Bevan’s recent elevation to the Idaho Supreme Court.

Cluff has been a partner in the firm of Coleman, Ritchie & Cluff since 2010. He previously was associated with the Twin Falls law firm of Hepworth, Lezamiz & Janis. The Oregon native received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and his law degree from the University of Idaho.

“I am truly honored that Governor Otter has chosen me to fill the judicial vacancy in Twin Falls left by Justice Bevan’s appointment to the Idaho Supreme Court,” Cluff said. “I look forward to the privilege of serving the citizens of the Fifth District, and I pledge to do my best in fulfilling my new responsibilities as a district judge.”

“I was pleased to have a highly qualified slate of candidates forwarded by the Judicial Council for this position,” Governor Otter said. “Justice Bevan leaves big shoes to fill in the Fifth Judicial District. But the Magic Valley also has a history of producing some of Idaho’s finest jurists, so I’m confident that Ben Cluff will perform at a high level on the bench.”

Cluff and his wife Jennifer have three children.
