The Governor’s Office provides internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate college students who are interested in experiencing the day-to-day operations of the chief executive’s office.
The Governor’s Office is responsible for overseeing the administration of state departments, agencies, and boards and commissions.
The goal of the internship is to provide students the opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of the operation of the Governor’s Office. More specifically, interns will assist administratively, aid in media relations and, where appropriate, help respond to correspondence from constituents. Interns will be given as much substantive work as possible and will interact directly with staff and assist in state government operations.
Applicants should be organized, self-motivated and energetic individuals. Students with strong writing and research skills are encouraged to apply. Interns are expected to be professional and respectful while working in the Governor’s Office.
Internships are unpaid but eligible for college credit. Please call Tamera Felter with questions about the internship program. She can be reached by calling 208-334-2100.
