Gov. Little is committed to keeping Idaho the place where opportunity thrives and ensuring the values that define our state endure for generations to come.

Little’s time in office has been focused on cutting taxes and red tape while making historic, unprecedented investments in transportation, water, schools, and other infrastructure to meet the needs of a growing state without raising taxes. He works closely with the Legislature to champion common sense values that support families and our way of life.

Cutting Taxes and Red Tape

Gov. Little and the Legislature have cut taxes every year since he took office, and Idaho earned the title of “Least Regulated State in the Nation” in his first year as Governor.

Supporting Education

State support for education increased 70 percent since Gov. Little took office, including investments in literacy, teacher pay, school facilities, and discretionary spending. In addition, Idaho offers more school choice options than any other state. LAUNCH is catapulting our young Idahoans into careers that support Idaho’s economy and promise a lifetime of success.

Infrastructure Investments

Idaho has committed a historic level of funding for expanded transportation projects, water infrastructure to support agriculture, broadband to better connect Idaho, and other areas to meet the needs of a growing state. Preserving what matters most for our state’s long-term success.

Public Safety

Idaho is demonstrating we “back the blue” and defend the police by investing in frontline personnel at the Idaho State Police. Gov. Little seeks to reduce crime by decreasing the revolving door back into prison.

Healthy Lands

Little is combatting the divisive, defeatist “climate fire” rhetoric by investing in the active management of our lands and adding resources for fire suppression, Good Neighbor Authority, and Shared Stewardship. Gov. Little’s efforts have boosted the economy in rural communities by improving state parks and outdoor recreation opportunities.

Healthy Idaho

To increase the number of medical professionals in our state and improve healthcare access to support healthy Idahoans, Gov. Little achieved investments in nursing programs at Idaho’s colleges as well as funds to address the physician shortage across Idaho. Idaho made new investments to further increase healthcare capacity by investing in more health profession education and better access to behavioral health resources.

Gov. Little and the Legislature are promoting common sense, family-friendly policies that maintain our high quality of life and continue to make our state a desirable place to live, for newcomers and natives alike.
