Internships

The Governor’s Office provides internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate college students who are interested in experiencing the day-to-day operations of the chief executive’s office.

Interns interact directly with staff as they assist in constituent services, learn policy-making, and work with the communications team.

The goal of the internship is to provide students the opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of the operation of the Governor’s Office. More specifically, interns will assist administratively, aid in media relations and, where appropriate, help respond to correspondence from constituents. Interns will be given as much substantive work as possible and will interact directly with staff and assist in state government operations.

Internships are unpaid but eligible for college credit. Please call Tamera Felter with questions about the internship program. She can be reached by calling 208-334-2100.

Interns serving in the Governor’s Office have the opportunity to:

  • Draft letters and policy documents
  • Meet state leaders
  • Represent Governor Little to constituents
  • Tour state agencies
  • Travel with the Governor
  • Work with the communications and media team
