Governor makes appointments to Park and Recreation Board, Endowment Fund Investment Board

Boise, Idaho – Governor Brad Little announced today some of the newest board appointments in his administration.

Brian Beckley of Meridian will serve as the District 3 representative on the Idaho Park and Recreation Board. Beckley is the Chief Operations Officer at Biomark, Inc., a company that supplies electronic identification technology to fish, wildlife, and other natural resource conservation entities. He holds Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Finance from University of Phoenix.

Dean Buffington and Senator Chuck Winder will continue to serve on the Idaho Endowment Fund Investment Board. 

Buffington has been a member of EFIB since 2001 and chairman since 2003. He is an investment advisor and served as Executive Vice President of First Security Bank of Idaho. He has held positions with the American Bankers Association, Idaho Bankers Association, Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, Associated Taxpayers of Idaho, and others. He also has had extensive involvement in community organizations. Buffington is from Nampa and holds Bachelor’s degrees from the College of Idaho and law degree from Willamette University. He also attended the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.

Senator Winder has been a member of EFIB since 2009. He is Idaho’s Senate Majority Leader. Winder has served on the Idaho Transportation Board, Boise City Design Review Committee and Planning and Zoning Commission, Ada County Highway District Commission, and numerous other boards and committees. He is a former naval aviator who has had a long career in commercial real estate. Winder holds a degree in political science from College of Idaho.
